Service Activities

The Office of Student Activities provides students with information about service opportunities. Hundreds of volunteer positions are on file in our office. Our staff is available to provide advice and assistance, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Office of Student Activities also sponsors special events and welcomes organizations to post volunteer positions. The following programs are offered throughout the year:

Craft-of-Caring
Take-a-break and stop by the Kimmel Center 7th floor lounge every Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and put your creativity to work! Each week, the Office of Student Activities sponsors a craft project that will provide handmade items to local senior centers, hospitals, schools, the military, or families in need. If your club or organization has a special project you would like to host for Craft-of-Caring, please contact sherrill.collins@nyu.edu.

Holiday Projects
To extend the spirit of giving to those who are less fortunate, the Office of Student Activities help clubs and individuals coordinate holiday dinners, clothing, food and toy drives.

Weekly Service Projects
The Office of Student Activities organizes a series of weekly work projects throughout the year. This program is designed to give students an opportunity to participate in a variety of one-day volunteer projects such as soup kitchens, beach cleanups, housing construction and many others.
