OutReach is August 20-24, 2008!

Dedicated to service-minded first-year and transfer students, OutReach is a four-day emerging leadership program and orientation to community service at New York University. OutReach helps new undergraduate students explore the Social Change Model of Leadership Development while connecting them New York City's diverse community service scene. Upper-class students at NYU with extensive leadership experience serve as small group facilitators for the program. OutReach is held immediately prior to Welcome Week and consists of workshops, fun activities and community service projects, which vary from delivering hot meals in the West Village to cleaning and painting a city park.

OutReach will assist students in their transition into college and help incoming students develop new, lasting friendships based on similar service interests. OutReach also prepares new students for immediate involvement in community and university leadership. Through OutReach, participants will discover the great individual and collective impact they can have on their new community, assist in making friends, developing leadership skills, and exploring their exciting new environment.
