Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Living and Learning Community

Fraternity and sorority residential housing is a long-standing tradition at NYU. Fraternity and Sorority Life, within the Office of Student Activities, collaborates with the Department of Residential Education to create a living community that fosters growth in academic achievement, leadership, community building, and individual and organizational development.

The goal of the Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Living and Learning Community is to provide individual organizations with much-needed chapter space and to unite members of different Greek-lettered organizations through shared experiences. Members of the Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Living and Learning Community both gain from and contribute to their community.

Organizations and their members have the opportunity to:
  • Participate in community-wide service projects
  • Enhance leadership skills through events such as guest speakers, panel discussions, and interactive programs
  • Focus on academics through organized study groups and scholarship programming
  • Build relationships with unaffiliated students through program collaboration and informal interactions
  • Regularly interact with undergraduate, graduate, and professionals in leadership positions, including alumni
  • Regularly interact with faculty and staff
