OrganizationInter Greek CouncilThe Inter Greek Council (IGC) serves as the umbrella organization that recognizes and governs all social fraternities and sororities at NYU. The IGC serves as a sounding board for all Greek issues; coordinates service, leadership, and educational programs with the Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, and the Multicultural Greek Council; and serves as the Peer Board for all Greek judicial issues. The IGC provides a communication network within the Greek community as well as the NYU and surrounding communities. Visit the IGC website for more detailed information about Greek Life. www.nyu.edu/stugov/greeklife/ Multicultural Greek CouncilThe Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) functions as the umbrella organization for social fraternities and sororities whose goals and purposes are for the exploration and enhancement of one or more cultures. MGC builds community within their membership and the NYU community, and provides a forum for addressing issues that affect member organizations. Membership of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organization and the National Pan-Hellenic Council are a part of the MGC. Member Organizations
Panhellenic CouncilThe Panhellenic Council (PhC) serves as the governing body for national and local social sororities at NYU. As an affiliate with the National Panhellenic Conference, the PHC is part of a nationwide network of women's fraternities and sororities reaching over 620 college and university campuses in the United States and Canada. The PHC provides a forum for sororities to work together to unify policies and to resolve issues that may arise. Through programs and services, the PHC supports NYU sororities by promoting values, education, leadership, friendships, cooperation, and citizenship. Member Organizations
Interfraternity CouncilThe Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves as the governing body of 14 national fraternities. As an affiliate with the North-American Interfraternity Conference, the NYU IFC is part of a nationwide interfraternal network reaching over 800 colleges and universities. The IFC collaborates with administration and faculty to maintain high social and academic standards. The IFC provides learning and community development opportunities through a variety of projects and programs. Member Organizations
